Lake Wifi policies
Pre-launch notice: Lake Wifi is preparing its first physical hotspot. The pages below describe the planned service. Live payment processing and internet access will be enabled only after the network is installed, tested, and approved for launch.

Terms of Service & Acceptable Use Rules
Lake Wifi provides temporary internet access in session blocks around Lake Merritt. By using the service, you agree to these terms and to comply with applicable law.
Session plans
Planned options are $1 for 1 hour and 3 GB, $3 for 6 hours and 8 GB, and $5 for 12 hours and 12 GB. Each purchased plan includes 10 bonus minutes. A first-time trial is planned at 10 minutes and 500 MB. A session ends when its time or data allowance is exhausted. Speeds and coverage may vary with location, network conditions, and the number of connected customers.
Acceptable use
You may not use Lake Wifi to break the law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, attack or disrupt networks, harass others, send spam, or consume service in a way that materially interferes with other customers. Lake Wifi may suspend or end access for abuse, security concerns, unlawful activity, or network protection.
Availability and responsibility
The service is provided as temporary public connectivity and is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted, secure, or suitable for emergency communications. You are responsible for your device, accounts, files, and activity while connected. Do not send sensitive information over an open or shared network unless you use appropriate encryption.
Payment and access
When launched, card payments will be processed by Stripe. Access should begin only after a successful payment confirmation or verified alternate-payment redemption. If a payment succeeds but access is not delivered, contact us promptly using the address below.
Changes
Lake Wifi may update these terms, plans, limits, or service areas. The current version will be posted on this page. Questions can be sent to selfieroomstudios@gmail.com.
Privacy Notice
Lake Wifi is designed to collect only information needed to provide, secure, and support temporary access.
Information we may receive
- Contact information you choose to provide, such as an email address or phone number, when requesting an access code or support.
- Payment and billing information processed by Stripe or another payment provider. Lake Wifi does not receive or store your full card number.
- Technical session information needed to authorize a device, enforce time/data limits, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot the service.
How information is used
Information may be used to deliver access codes, confirm payments, provide support, enforce session limits, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain network security, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Service providers and retention
Payment processing will be handled by Stripe, subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy notice. Technical service providers may process information on Lake Wifi's behalf. We intend to retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, accounting, disputes, security, or legal requirements.

Refund & Dispute Policy
Lake Wifi is pre-launch and is not currently accepting live payments through this website.
After launch, if a payment is duplicated, a payment succeeds but the purchased access code is not delivered, or the service is unavailable before a session begins, contact us at selfieroomstudios@gmail.com with the payment date, amount, and the email used for the purchase. We will review the request and, where appropriate, issue a refund through the original payment method.
Because access is a time- and data-based digital service, refunds may be limited after a session has started or after time/data has been consumed. Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived. Stripe card disputes remain subject to Stripe and card-network rules.
